The sun is shining, the temperatures are up and summer is well and truly here! We always like to get out and about to as many festivals and green happenings as possible during the summer months, but this year is particularly exciting.
So far, we've been to the LIDO Festival in London and the Arcadia Dragonfly at Glastonbury with the amazing Grid Faeries battery – and soon we'll be heading back to London for All Points East, followed by Vegan Camp Out in Hertfordshire.
Here’s what’s going on this summer…
6-15 Jun - LIDO 2025
The new LIDO 2025 Festival in London's Victoria Park ran over two weekends, with headline acts including Jamie xx, Charlie XCX and London Grammar.
We gave away 1000 free tickets to the festival and we were there, along with Grid Faeries x Ecotricity, which was powering the main stage and part of the site with 100 per cent green electricity – a first for outdoor music in London.
The entire site ran for over thirty-two hours on battery power alone, charged by rooftop solar and Ecotricity’s deep green grid, with no generator noise or pollution to ruin Massive Attack's incredible headline set.
28-29 Jun - Glastonbury
We then headed west to the joyful fields of Glastonbury, where Grid Faeries x Ecotricity powered the Arcadia Dragonfly with green electricity for the second year running.
The dragonfly is an incredible piece of art built from an ex-military Royal Navy helicopter, with laser wings and concentric rings of flame.
15-24 Aug - All Points East
It's back to the capital on 15 August for the start of the All Points East festival. Running over two consecutive weekends, this year's line-up features Cleo Sol, Chase and Status, Barry Can’t Swim and The Maccabees.
Grid Faeries x Ecotricity will be back at Victoria Park with their 3 MWh battery, powering sets on the west stage with pure green electricity from the wind and the sun. For All Points East, we're adding small windmills to the battery and solar to keep making energy from the wind and sun whilst at the event.
We've given away 500 free tickets to All Points East. Keep an eye on our social media channels for any future competitions.
29 Aug-1 Sep – Vegan Campout
We're marking the end of the summer with a trip to our favourite Vegan Campout in Hertfordshire.
The event features a whole lot of music, comedy and other fascinating speakers, including our founder, Dale Vince. Bring your tent, your summer vibes and a hearty appetite for lots of delicious vegan food.
See you there!
