Refer a friend terms and conditions
RAF Promotion
Ecotricity customers can refer as many friends or family members as they like. Every friend or family member who joins using your unique referral code (which can be found in your online account or in our app) will receive £25 credit to account, and you will also receive £25 credit to account for each friend or family member referred. The Promoter is The Renewable Energy Company Limited (trading as Ecotricity). The Laws of England & Wales govern this promotion.
New customer (Referred Customer)
1. This is a Welcome Offer, open to UK residents aged 18 and over. Only available for households in mainland UK (exc. N. Ireland). Only one Welcome Offer per household.
2. The Welcome Offer is only open to households switching their electricity and/or gas to Ecotricity's green variable and EV tariff. Other available tariffs from Ecotricity are excluded from this offer.
3. £25 account credit is for either a dual fuel or single fuel switch, and is provided for every customer referred.
4. The £25 account credit is open to UK residents, aged 18 and over who apply for electricity either by phoning 0808 123 0 123 or by applying online at ecotricity.co.uk quoting offer reference code "RAF and the full name of the person who referred you in the ‘How did you hear about us’ box.
5. This Welcome Offer is not available;
5.1. to applicants who have previously switched to Ecotricity as part of an earlier Ecotricity Welcome Offer
5.2. to customers who already receive an electricity and/or gas supply from Ecotricity at the same or another household
5.3. to applicants who’ve already applied and are waiting for a supply start date(s);
5.4. to applicants who cancel their application to switch to Ecotricity
5.5. if we’re unable to provide the supply of mains electricity or gas
5.7. to Pay As You Go (PAYG) customers.
5.8. to applicants that switch onto our 1 year fixed tariff.
6. You will receive your account credit within 30 days of your account going live.
7. Switch requests (which can be made online or over the telephone) must be accompanied by your Unique Referral Code for them to receive the voucher.
8. There is no cash alternative available.
9. The offer may vary or be withdrawn at any time without prior notice.
Existing customer (Referring Customer)
1. The Referral Offer is open to all existing domestic Ecotricity customers except Pay As You Go (PAYG) customers.
2. As a customer, you will automatically have a Unique Referral Code. This can be found in your online account or in our app, or can be requested by calling or emailing us. This Unique Referral Code or your name must be quoted by the Referred Customers when switching to Ecotricity for this offer to be valid. If the Referred Customer does not quote this on switching, no Incentive will be allocated.
3. The Referring Customer will receive £25 credit to account for every Referred Customer who meets the terms set out above.
4. The Referred Customer must not;
4.1. have previously switched to Ecotricity as part of an earlier Ecotricity Welcome Offer
4.2. already receive an electricity and/or gas supply from Ecotricity, at the same or another household
4.3. be waiting for a supply start date(s) at the time of the referral
4.4. cancel their application to switch to Ecotricity or
4.6. be a Pay as you go customer.
4.7. switch onto our 1 year fixed tariff.
5. Providing both your account and the Referred Customer's account are live, as set out above, you will receive your account credit within 30 days of the Referred Customer's account going live.
6. There is no cash alternative.
