Ripple Energy

We’re partnering with Ripple Energy on their upcoming generation projects!

Ripple Energy offers an opportunity for consumers to invest into their renewable energy projects, and give them back the benefit of the energy produced.

They’ve just announced their next project in the Scottish borders at Whitelaw Brae, set to be the UK’s largest people-owned renewable energy project, capable of powering around 54,000 homes. The site is expected to generate energy in late 2026 to early 2027, but the share offer will close in May this year so don’t miss out.

You don’t need to do anything with your Ecotricity account to get started – just join the waiting list on Ripple Energy’s website. Once you’re part of a project generating energy, your savings will reflect on your Ecotricity account.

Both domestic customers and small businesses are all welcome to enrol.

If you have any questions, check out their handy FAQs or contact Ripple Energy’s support team at support@rippleenergy.com.

Climate Clock

The Climate Clock is a version of the Doomsday clock that has been running since 1947 - this tracks the risk of global man-made disaster, through man made technology (like nuclear weapons) - displaying the minutes and seconds left before midnight, when disaster strikes. The climate crisis is a small part of the calculations made.
The climate clock uses a similar approach, but, focuses only on the climate crisis - which is the biggest and most urgent existential threat we face.
"The Climate Clock is a countdown to the biggest man-made disaster we face - but also a measure by which we can track our progress - moving from fossil to renewable energy. It shows we have no time to lose - the clock is ticking…" Dale Vince, OBE.
